Documentary as a way of listening
My interest for documentary work grew from research, photography, field observation, and a deep interest in underrepresented histories. I am drawn to stories where personal memory meets public history, and where archives, interviews, places, and reenactments can help recover voices that are often left outside official narratives.
Becoming Part of the Memory
I listen to stories as someone slowly entering their memories, gestures and silences and through these stories the distance between subject and observer fades and I began to understand how memory lives within a community, shaped by shared experience, presence, and careful listening.
